Sometimes You Just Need to Vent

Another day, another blog.

A lot of news sites and blogs have polls that drive me insane. What's the point of them? It's a self-selecting group and has no scientific purpose other than to see what is popular at that time by a particular site's readers.

This little gem is from cnn.com. Although this is a legit poll, the question asked is utterly ridiculous.

It seems health care costs too much. Really? I've never heard of cheap health care (unless you're talking about that one time a hippie gave me an operation with his mouth in a back alley). When I go get my prescription of Propecia (my chest hair won't grow in), it costs $40 with insurance. I don't want to think about how much it would cost without insurance. My explanation of benefits statement for a routine visit to the doctor is crazy. How does insurance even exist?! So, thank you, CNN, for pointing out what everyone who isn't a billionaire already knows.

Oh, and the full article isn't terribly interesting, so feel free to skip it.
